KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian police yesterday rescued 26 Vietnamese women from a brothel in Kuala Lumpur.

Fifteen others – three Indonesians, eight Chinese and four Lao women – were also rescued in the operation.

Police said that the 41 women, between 18 and 35, were human trafficking.victims.

The brothel functioned under the guise of an entertainment centre in Bandar Botanic, Klang. 

A 36-year-old Malaysian man who managed the centre was arrested during the raid. 

The case is being investigated further, police said. – VNS
