HCM CITY — The Australian Association of International Schools Games (AISA Games) will be held at the Australian International School (AIS) in HCM City from November 16-18 with the participation of more than 300 athletes.
Students from five countries and territories including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong (China) and Việt Nam will compete in football, baseball, handball, diving and rugby.
Jon Standen, Principal of the Australian International School (Ho Chi Minh City), shared that organizing a large-scale sports festival like the AISA Games after a four-year hiatus shows a dedication and commitment to creating a school that is not only a place for learning, but also a place for children to explore and promote their personal interests and passions, including sports.
To do this, AIS always invests in sports facilities. Conditions of the outdoor soccer field, basketball court, and swimming pool meet international standards for high-class competitions for students of all ages.
Matt Washer, Sports Director of AIS, said that the quality of athletes at the AISA Games has continuously improved over the years, evidenced by the fact that many of the young athletes have continued high achievements in world-class competitions for students.
He added that all rules and competition conditions of AISA Games are guaranteed to be professional and comply with the standards of international sports federations.
