HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) has decided to delay some tournaments which are scheduled to kick off in March.

VFF said the decision followed an order from the Việt Nam Sports Administration to avoid COVID-19 spreading.

Specifically, apart from the ongoing V.League 1 and the National U19 Championship and the V.League 2 which will begin this weekend, other tournaments including the National U15 Championship, National Women’s U19 Championship and the National Futsal Championship will be postponed.

The Olympic qualifier play-off match between Việt Nam and Australia will also be organised with empty stands.

The V.League 1’s second round on March 13-15 and V.League 2’s first round on March 14-16 will be held behind closed doors.

“In this situation we need organisers of all tournaments put people’s health as a top priority,” said the VFF. VNS
