HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam's U22 men's football team received a bonus of VNĐ1 billion (US$43,223) from the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) after defeating Indonesia 2-1 in Group B at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines on Sunday.
Indonesia took the lead after a mistake by goalkeeper Bùi Tiến Dũng, but equalised in the second half through Nguyễn Đức Chinh and took the lead thanks to a screamer from Nguyễn Hoàng Đức.
Việt Nam have won all three of their group games so far.
“We want to encourage the players and boost team spirit as they go into their next matches against Singapore on Tuesday and Thailand on Thursday so can secure a place in the semi-finals,” said head of the VFF Lê Khánh Hải. VNS
