Toyota junior football camp 2019 kicks off

The Toyota Junior Football Programme 2019 for young players aged from 9 to 12 will be held between June 22 and August 11.

HÀ NỘI — The Toyota Junior Football Programme 2019 for young players aged from 9 to 12 will be held between June 22 and August 11.

The selection round for the camp will be held at Giếng Đáy Stadium in Quảng Ninh Province on June 22, before moving on to Thiên Trường Stadium in Nam Định Province and Gò Đậu Stadium in Bình Dương Province on June 29. The final destination for the selection round will be held at Vinh Stadium in Nghệ An Province on June 30.

30 outstanding young athletes will be selected to take part in the camp in Hà Nội.

Young players will be trained by former head coach of V.League 1 club Quảng Ninh Coal and former national team player Phạm Như Thuần as well as young professional talents including Nghiêm Xuân Tú of Quảng Ninh Coal, Phạm Xuân Mạnh of Sông Lam Nghệ An, Trần Mạnh Hùng of Nam Định and Nguyễn Tiến Linh of Becamex Bình Dương.

The camp will also give participants a  chance to meet disabled swimmer Nguyễn Thành Trung who was named  a “Hero of Change” by the Hero Project in Việt Nam under the “Start Your Impossible” campaign.  Trung, who has won more than 40 medals at international and domestic events, will share his life story to inspire young footballers to strive and try their best to contribute to Việt Nam’s football development.

The event, in its fifth year in Việt Nam, aims to nurture young players’ passion for football and raise their awareness of the need for a healthy body, soul and discipline. — VNS
