Phương wins first round of VTF Pro Tour

Vietnamese young talent and No 1 seed Nguyễn Văn Phương won the second round of the VTF Pro Tour 200, Hưng Thịnh Cup 2019 in Bình Định Province yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese young talent and No 1 seed Nguyễn Văn Phương won the second round of the VTF Pro Tour 200, Hưng Thịnh Cup 2019 in Bình Định Province yesterday.

Phương of Becamex Bình Dương beat his teammate Đinh Viết Tuấn Minh 6-1, 6-0.

Meanwhile No 2 seed Hoàng Thành Trung of Hải Đăng Tây Ninh, got off to a good start after beating Lã Xuân Hậu of Hà Nội 7-5, 1-0 (Hậu retired).

Young player Nguyễn Quang Vinh of Hưng Thịnh – HCM City, 14, continued to shine with a win of 6-2, 6-4 against No 7 seed Từ Ngọc Nhựt of Becamex Bình Dương.

In the next game, Vinh will take on No 3 seed Nguyễn Đắc Tiến of Hà Nội who beat his teammate Hoàng Bảo Long 6-0, 6-1. Phương will face Cao Dương Đại of Becamex Bình Dương, while Trung will play Phạm Minh Tuấn of Hưng Thịnh – HCM City.

In the women’s doubles, the duo Lý Minh Anh and Nguyễn Thu Phương of Bắc Giang beat Trần Thị Trà My and Lò Thị Duyên of Sơn La 6-0, 6-4.

Today, the event will continue with women’s singles and men’s doubles categories.
