Việt Nam in regional beach football final

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam won a berth in the final of the ASEAN Football Federation Beach Soccer Championship after the last group round matches on Thursday in Indonesia.

Việt Nam defeated East Timor 4-1 while in another match Thailand won 3-2 over the hosts.

This means that Thailand took top position and Việt Nam came second. They will play each other in the gold medal match.

In their group stage meeting, Việt Nam lost 4-9.

The final will be on November 24. Ahead of the final, Malaysia, the winners of the previous championship, will face Indonesia in the third place match.

This year’s tournament is the second edition with five participants. — VNS
