HÀ NỘI — The International Challenge Việt Nam triathlon 2019 will get set on July 14 next year.

The city of Nha Trang will be hosting the event for the second time. It offers a spectacular background for a triathlon, extra activities and plenty of places to discover.

Participants will compete on a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21km run.

In the first Challenge Việt Nam held in 2016, Mitch Robins won the men’s category with a time of  4:04.44, followed by Australia’s Levi Maxwell and Carlos Javier Quinchara. Jessica Fleming took the women’s event after clocking a time of 4:42.44, followed by Julia Grant and Michelle Duffield.

The event received tremendous good feedback and was awarded “Best Inaugural Long Distance Triathlon in Asia” by asiatri.com.

Challenge Việt Nam 2019 is expected to draw double the number of participants and is envisioned to become a must-do triathlon in the Southeast Asian region.

The event is part of the Challenge Family triathlon series which has more than 40 races in 26 countries around the world. — VNS
