HÀ NỘI — Military team players shone at the National Table Tennis Championship, which concluded in the Central Hilands province of Đắk Lắk on Tuesday.

In the men’s singles final, veteran Đinh Quang Linh of the Military beat Asian Games player Nguyễn Đức Tuân of Hải Dương 4-1 (12-10, 11-9, 11-9, 8-11, 11-2) to take gold.

Tuân’s teammate Vũ Quang Hiền and Đinh Anh Hoàng of T&T shared third place.

Meanwhile, another representative of Military team, Vũ Thị Hà, beat young talent Nguyễn Khoa Diệu Khánh of HCM City 4-1 (12-14, 11-5, 11-5, 11-4, 11-3) in the women’s singles final.

Phạm Thị Thiên Kim of Ministry of Public Security and Nguyễn Bạch Thanh Thư of HCM City earned bronze medals.

Earlier, the gold medal of men’s team category also went to the Military team.

The five-day event attracted more than 100 players from 10 of the best teams across the country. — VNS
