HÀ NỘI — HCM City is planning to build a sports centre in District 3, with total investment of more than VNĐ1.95 trillion (US$85 million).
Recently, the municipal People’s Committee requested the Government’s approval to use several lots of land to pay for a Build-Transfer (BT) contract of the project.
With seven floors and three basements, the Phan Đình Phùng sports centre, once completed, is expected to meet local demand for training and competition spaces.
It will also serve as a venue for the city to host national and Southeast Asian competitions.
At the beginning of the year, the city decided on the Compensation and Clearance Corporation and Phát Đạt Real Estate Development Corporation as the investors of the project.
To date, the city has completed negotiations on the BT contract and signed an agreement with the investors. — VNS
