HÀ NỘI — The National Junior Freestyle and Classical Wrestling Championships started on June 5 in the northern province of Tuyên Quang.
More than 300 young wrestlers from 20 teams across the country competed in 21 men’s classical weight categories and 21 freestyle weight categories for both men and women.
The eight-day tournament aims to give young players opportunities to evaluate their training, select the best wrestlers for the national team and prepare for international events.
The event is co-organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and National Sports Administration.
It will end on June 12. — VNS
