ĐÀ NẴNG — The Việt Nam Tennis Federation Pro Tour 3 launched in Đà Nẵng City on yesterday (on Tuesday).
As many as 100 players are taking part in this year’s competition, from 11 teams including Hưng Thịnh – TPHCM, People’s Policeman, Becamex Bình Dương, Ninh Thuận, Đà Nẵng, People’s Army, Vĩnh Phúc, Hà Nội, Hải Dương, Hải Đăng – Tây Ninh.
The players compete in four contents, including men’s singles, woman’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles.
Top Vietnamese tennis players like Phạm Minh Tuấn, Trịnh Linh Giang, king of men’s doubles Lê Quốc Khánh, veteran player Hoàng Thành Trung, Bùi Trí Nguyên, current champion of Vietravel Cup 2017 Tiffany Linh Nguyễn, current champion of VTF Pro Tour 1 2018 Fodor Csilla, Sĩ Bội Ngọc, Trần Thụy Thanh Trúc, Vietnamese-American Chenelle Van Nguyen are scheduled to compete in this year’s match, respectively.
Vietnamese top tennis players Lý Hoàng Nam and Nguyễn Văn Phương are reported to be absent in this year’s tournament.
Besides bonus points and cup for champions, the players will get high cash prizes.
The men’s singles champion is awarded VNĐ40 million ($1,753), women’s champion, VNĐ30 million ($1,314), men’s doubles champion VNĐ10 million ($437), and women’s doubles champion awarded VNĐ8 million ($350).
This is an opportunity for Trịnh Linh Giang, first seed of Becamex Bình Dương and Phạm Minh Tuấn, second seed of Đà Nẵng to go head to head for the championship.
