Lee wins fifth stage, Mai still in lead

Lee Eun-hee of the South Korean Samyang crew won the fifth stage of the International Women’s Cycling Bình Dương Television Tournament, the Biwase Cup, yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Lee Eun-hee of the South Korean Samyang crew won the fifth stage of the International Women’s Cycling Bình Dương Television Tournament, the Biwase Cup, yesterday.

Lee completed 120kms from Nha Trang City of Khánh Hòa Province to Phan Rang City of Ninh Thuận Province in 3hrs 25.55mins.

She was followed by teammate Kim Youri and Nguyễn Thị Thi of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang.

Đinh Thị Như Quỳnh of Biwase Bình Dương grabbed the polka dot jersey for the Queen of the Mountain with 59 points. She was first to reach the Prenn Pass near Đà Lạt in the third stage and was in the top group at the passes of Cù Hinh, Chúa Mountain and Quỳnh. There is no pass in the rest of the tournament.

Nguyễn Thị Thu Mai of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang maintains the lead after five stages with a total time of 12.58.54.

In the team ranking, Biwase Bình Dương is on top. Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang and the team from the Netherlands are close behind.

The sixth stage today is 115km from Phan Rang to Phan Thiết City of Bình Thuận Province. — VNS
