HÀ NỘI — Hoàng Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) lost to Vasco Gama B of Brazil in the second match of the annual Bình Dương Television International Football Cup (BTV Cup).
Vasco Gama B opened the score in the fifth minute of the game, held in the southern province of Bình Dương on January 29.
HAGL fought back strongly and enjoyed a penalty kick in the 27th minute. Lê Văn Sơn helped HAGL level the score of 1-1.
Only 12 minutes later, the Brazilian players raised the score to 2-1.
After the break, HAGL made every effort to seek more goals but failed.
Earlier, HAGL defeated defending champions of V.League 1, Quảng Nam 2-1 in the first match.
With this win, Vasco Gama B top the rankings with six points, followed by Quảng Nam with four points and Bình Dương with three points.
