HÀ NỘI — Midfielder Vũ Ngọc Thịnh said goodbye to V.League club Hải Phòng. He will now play for HCM City.
Thịnh was a key player of the northern port city’s team. During the four years he played for Hải Phòng, he helped the team win the National Cup in 2014 and become the runners-up of the National Premier League in 2016.
With his ideal stature and good tactics, Thịnh is expected to help his new team achieve the target of finishing among the top five teams of the league this year.
The 1.81m tall Thịnh was called to the national U23 team in 2015, in which Việt Nam ranked third in the Southeast Asian Games. The 25-year-old player was also called to the senior national team in 2016. — VNS
