HÀ NỘI — Hosts HCM City topped the table in the National Muay Thai Championships, which concluded on Saturday.

The city’s athletes pocketed seven gold, seven silver and four bronze medals. HCM City is leading the medals’ tally for the seventh consecutive year.

Hà Nội came second with three golds while the Ministry of Public Security and Bình Dương shared the third place with two titles.

Organisers said the teams were well prepared for this year’s tournament, and athletes demonstrated higher standards when compared with the previous years. The best athletes will be selected for the national team to train for the upcoming international tournament, including the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia this August. — VNS
