HÀ NỘI — Long An defeated Đồng Nai 4-2 in the last match of the National U19 Football Championships’ qualifying round on Tuesday, earning the last ticket to compete in the final round.
Eight teams have qualified to the final round, which will be held from March 21 to 31 in Bình Định Province’s Quy Nhơn City. The teams include Hà Nội, Viettel, Sông Lam Nghệ An, Thừa Thiên-Huế, Sanatech Khánh Hòa, PVF, Long An and hosts Bình Định.
As per data from the event’s organising board, 295 goals were scored in the qualifier, of which Group C teams scored the maximum with 124 goals.
PVF were the best team, with all 10 wins and 48 goals. Quảng Ninh Coal were the only team to suffer 10 defeats.
The draw for the final will be organised on March 20. — VNS
