HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Thị Thu Mai won the fifth stage of the Bình Dương International Women’s Cycling Tournament on Sunday.

Mai, of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang, finished first in the 105km race from Nha Trang City in Khánh Hòa Province to Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm City of Ninh Thuận Province with a time of 2:44.26.

Kajihara Yumi of Japan, and Mai’s teammate, Nguyễn Thị Thật, were the runners-up.

Karami Miyoko of Japan won the red jersey as queen of the mountain with 68 points. Miyoko retained the yellow jersey for the best overall time after five stages, with a time of 11:54.07.

The green jersey for best sprinter went to Thật, with 67 points.

In the team rankings, Biwase Bình Dương took the lead with 35:48.24, followed by Thailand and Japan.

Today, cyclists will compete in the sixth stage from Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm City to Phan Thiết City, covering 110km. — VNS
