HÀ NỘI — PVF have become the first team to enter the final round of the National U19 Football Championship, though three more qualifying rounds are left.
After seven rounds, the team gained 21 points with seven wins to top Group C.
Group C’s second ticket will be determined after Wednesday’s match between Long An, who have 12 points, and HCM City, who have 9 points.
PVF have put up a strong performance in this year’s tournament. Many of their players, such as Khắc Khiêm, Trọng Long and Huỳnh Sang, performed well in the final round of the 2016 AFC U16 Championship, while Văn Xuân, Hồng Sơn and Quang Vinh did a great job at the U18 football tournament in Japan last year.
Other candidates for the final round include defending champions Hà Nội (18 points) and Sông Lam Nghệ An (16 points) in Group A; Sanatech Khánh Hòa who top Group B with 16 points and Thừa Thiên Huế, with 15 points. — VNS
