Duẩn wins third stage of domestic cycling event

HÀ NỘI — Lê Văn Duẩn won the third stage of the Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Duẩn, of VUS HCM City, clocked a top speed of 42.814 kmh during the 107km stage from Sóc Trăng to Cà Mau City. He completed the event with a time of 2:29.57.

Nguyễn Thành Tâm of An Giang and Đỗ Tuấn Anh of Đồng Tháp were the runners-up.

Although Nguyễn Trường Tài of VUS HCM City didn’t rank in the top three, he still retained the yellow jersey. With Tài and Duẩn’s effort, their team took the lead in the team rankings.

Today, cyclists will compete in the fourth 178km stage from Cà May to Cần Thơ City. — VNS
