26 players called up for U22 friendly

The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) has called up 26 footballers to the national team to prepare for the international U22 friendly football tournament in China from November 8-13.

HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) has called up 26 footballers to the national team to prepare for the international U22 friendly football tournament in China from November 8-13.

Among them are 10 U19 players who have competed in the AFC U19 Championship Bahrain 2016, such as goalkeeper Bùi Tiến Dũng, defender Nguyễn Trọng Đại, midfielder Bùi Tiến Dũng, Hồ Minh Dĩ, striker Nguyễn Quang Hải, Hà Đức Chinh and Trần Thành.

The VFF also called up other former U19 players, including Lâm Ti Phông, Trần Minh Vương and Hồ Tuấn Tài.

Hoàng Anh Tuấn, who has coached the U19 team in the AFC event, will guide the U22 team.

The U22 team will convene in Hà Nội on November 3 to prepare for the event, which brings together teams from Việt Nam, China, the United Arab Emirates and Mexico. — VNS
