HÀ NỘI — The Southeast Asian Shooting Association Championship (SEASA) 2016 will run from November 1-12 in Hà Nội, the Việt Nam Shooting Federation has announced.
This year’s event will feature 300 athletes and coaches from nine countries and territories, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Korea.
They will compete in 18 events for men and 18 for women. The SEASA event, the most prestigious regional shooting competition, would allow regional shooters to sharpen their skills before competing at the SEA Games, continental and global tournaments, said Deputy Director of the National Sports Administration Trần Đức Phấn, also head of the event’s organising board.
It also aims to promote Việt Nam to international guests.
Vietnamese shooting has gained excellent achievements in recent years and is one of the three strongest teams in Southeast Asia.
