Nhân wins second stage of Tôn Hoa Sen Cup

HCM CITY — Trương Nguyễn Thanh Nhân of the VUS HCM City team yesterday won the second stage of the VTV International Cycling Tournament, the Tôn Hoa Sen Cup, which began on Wednesday.

Nhân beat Quảng Văn Cường of the Bảo Vệ Thực Vật An Giang team and Changpad Karik Sada of Thailand, who came second and third, respectively.

Stage two began in Đà Nẵng and headed to Huế City. After a total of 96km, Nhân won in a time of 2 hours and 11 minutes.

Trần Nguyễn Duy Nhân of Military Zone 7 won the first stage on Wednesday, and received the white jersey for best young cyclist and yellow jersey for best overall time.

The third stage will start today with the Huế - Quảng Trị - Quảng Bình route. The total distance will be 156 km, the longest single section of the race.

The race was organised by Việt Nam Television, the Việt Nam Cycling and Sport Motors Federation and Hoa Sen Group.

It has five stages, featuring 13 domestic teams and three international teams. — VNS
