Minh drops to No 35 in world rankings

Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyễn Tiến Minh dropped three places to World No 35 in the latest rankings, the sport’s governing body announced.

HÀ NỘI — Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyễn Tiến Minh dropped three places to World No 35 in the latest rankings, the sport’s governing body announced.

Minh’s girl friend, Vũ Thị Trang, slid four places to World No 51.

Minh and Trang didn’t compete in any recent international tournaments to gain points.

Today they will compete in the Ciputra Hà Nội-Yonex Sunrise Việt Nam International Challenge at Cầu Giấy Gymnasium.

Olympian Minh is the No 1 seed at the tournament, while Trang is seeded No 2 in women’s singles. — VNS
