Tâm wins stage, Tài keeps lead in HCM City Cycling Cup

Nguyễn Thành Tâm won the 17th stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Cup yesterday, while Nguyễn Trường Tài brought home the yellow jersey.

HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Thành Tâm won the 17th stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Cup yesterday, while Nguyễn Trường Tài brought home the yellow jersey.

Tâm of An Giang clocked a top speed of 47.247 kmh during the 51km stage, which covered 17 laps around Xuân Hương Lake in Đà Lạt City. He completed the event in 1:04.46.

Tâm retained the green jersey as the best sprinter with 153 points.

After 17 stages, Tài of VUS-HCM City held onto the yellow jersey for the best overall time, followed by Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of Military Zone 7.

The An Giang team were leading the race after 17 stages. Military Zone 7 and VUS-HCM City were the runners-up.

Today, cyclists will continue to compete in the 100km leg from Đà Lạt to Bảo Lộc City. – VNS
