HCM City — Trần Nguyễn Duy Nhân took the lead in the 15th stage of the 28th HCM City Television Cycling Cup yesterday.
Nhân of Military Zone 7 clocked a time of 3:28.21 in the 130km race from Nha Trang to Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm City.
Nguyễn Hoàng Thái of Domesco Pharmacy Đồng Tháp and Quàng Văn Cường of Hà Nội were the runners-up.
Although Nguyễn Trường Tài of VUS-HCM City didn’t finish in top three, he still won the yellow jersey with the best overall time after 15 stages with a time of 40:01.31, followed by Nhân’s teammate, Huỳnh Thanh Tùng and Lê Ngọc Sơn of An Giang.
Nguyễn Thành Tâm continued to hold the green jersey as best sprinter with 133 points and red jersey as King of the Mountain with 11 points.
In the team race, An Giang took the lead with a time of 118:50.56. Military Zone 7 and Đồng Tháp finished second and third.
Today, cyclists will conquer the 127km 16th stage from Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm to Đà Lạt City. – VNS
