QUẢNG NAM — Top teams will compete in the National First Division Volleyball Championship in the central provincial from April 20 to May 3, featuring 28 teams in a round-robin format.

Men’s and women’s teams will challenge in two groups each division.  Eight top men’s teams will earn places for final round, while six best women’s teams will qualify for final competition in southern Trà Vinh Province on October 10. VFV said Quảng Nam Province, with good preparation and infrastructure, has been chosen as a location for the qualifiers.

It’s also one of series sports and cultural events in promotion of tourism and entertainment in the provincial capital of Tam Kỳ City on Reunification and May Day.

The federation said the qualifying round of the First Division would be a tussle competition for all teams as they seek two promotion spots to the premier championship next year.

HCM City, Bình Dương, Sk Pearl Nest Khánh Hòa and the Army team are favourites for the title.
