“En route pour Paris 2024!” exhibition promotes Olympic, Paralympic Games

HCM CITY  –  The exhibition “En route pour Paris 2024!” (On the way to Paris 2024!) was launched by the Consulate General of France in HCM City on March 6 at the French Residence.  

HCM CITY  –  The exhibition “En route pour Paris 2024!” (On the way to Paris 2024!) was launched by the Consulate General of France in HCM City on March 6 at the French Residence.  

The exhibition features the 13 competition venues of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will take place across France from July to September 2024, outside the French Residence.

Some of the venues include Paris, Tahiti, Marseille, Versailles and Lyon. 

Emmanuelle Pavillon Grosser, the Consul General of France in HCM City, said, “With this new exhibition, we aim to introduce to the public of HCM City all the venues where the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held this summer.”

“The upcoming Olympic Games, referred to as Paris 2024, will take place from July 26 to August 11. Following that, the Paralympic Games will be held from August 28 to September 8. This event is set to be the largest ever organized in France.” 

Through this exhibition, the French Consulate General aims to invite the people of Việt Nam to experience the world's largest sporting event in France.  

In addition, the French Consulate is concurrently hosting a meeting with Michel Regembal, one of the architects involved in the design of the Stade de France - French National Stadium.

Stade de France will host track and field as well as seven-a-side rugby matches, and subsequently, it will be the venue for the Olympic closing ceremony - an event that brings together athletes from around the world in an arena with a seating capacity of over 70,000. 

At the meeting, the architect shared many interesting pieces of information about the architecture and distinctive characteristics of Stade de France.
