HÀ NỘI — After saying goodbye to Pau FC in France, midfielder Nguyễn Quang Hải has signed an 18 month contract with Hà Nội Police FC.

The team's Facebook page announced that Hải officially joined the team on Thursday. He will play from the second leg of V.League 1 2023.

The Hanoian player has just returned from France and had two excellent performances in the national team jersey during the FIFA Days tournament this month.

Joining the new team, Hải will receive a salary of about VNĐ100 million per month and a transfer fee of about VNĐ5 billion per year. He is likely to become the highest paid Vietnamese player in the national premiere league.

After 11 matches, Hà Nội Police temporarily sit second with 21 points and have secured a place in the championship group from the second leg of the league.
