HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam will send the best young athletes to compete at the Asian U23 Wrestling Championship on June 15-18 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Among the six competitors, Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Trang, Trần Ánh Tuyết, Lại Diệu Thương, and Đặng Thị Linh are SEA Games defending champions.
Trang took her title in the women's 57kg. She is one of Việt Nam's wrestlers with the most potential and is expected to get high results internationally.
Tuyết won in the women's 59kg. Thương dominated the women's 68kg and Linh triumphed in the women's 76kg.
Việt Nam is home to some of the strongest wrestlers in Southeast Asian. The team has dominated every SEA Games competition. In the two latest Games, Việt Nam topped the medal tally in men's, women's and overal ranking, leaving all other teams far behind. VNS
