HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội's coach Bozidar Bandovic heaped praise on captain Nguyễn Văn Quyết after the side from the capital beat Hà Tĩnh on the road in the V.League 1 on Monday.

"What do I need to say about Văn Quyết anymore? He has the best qualities of a player. Not only the way he scores, what he shows, makes decisions, shows his influence of a captain," coach Bandovic said after the match.

Hà Nội FC won 3-2, despite going behind early in the game.

Quyết scored the equaliser that made it 1-1 from a free-kick, a goal that took him top of the league in terms of goals scored ưith four. He previously netted a goal against Viettel and a brace against Hà Nội’s Police.

Behind Quyết is Rimario Gordon of Bình Dương with three goals, Rafaelson Fernandes of Bình Định with two goals and Bruno Cunha of Thanh Hóa with two goals.

When asked why Quyết did not appear often for the national team under the South Korean coach Park Hang-seo, Bandovic said this wasn't a question for him.

"I just want to say that with any coach of the national team, Hà Nội's players can play their tactics for 90 minutes. Using Hà Nội players will be good for national teams because they know the tactics well,” Bandovic said.

However, the coach from Montenegro did criticise the refereeing in the national premiere league, arguing that they often make unreasonable decisions.

Recognising the strength of their opponent, Hà Tĩnh's coach Nguyễn Thành Công praised Hà Nội's performance.

"We have been able to overcome the style of the capital team in the recent seasons by carefully studying them. Their ability to move without the ball is the best in Việt Nam. There is no specific measure to prevent them; almost no team in the V.League 1 can completely neutralise them," Công said. VNS
