Indonesia shooters maintain their top form

Indonesian shooters, Citra Dewi Resti and Fathur Gustafia bagged gold in final competition for mixed 10m mobile air rifle event on May 18. While Singapore berth second place and Thailand came third place.

Indonesian shooters Citra Dewi Resti and Fathur Gustafia took gold in final competition for the mixed 10m mobile air rifle event on May 18, while Singapore took second and Thailand finished third.

Việt Nam’s shooting teams misfired on the third day in 10m mixed mobile air rifle and Women's 25m Sports Pistol.

In the 10m Mixed Mobile Air Rifle, Phí Thị Thanh Thảo, Phùng Việt Dũng, Lê Thị  Mộng Tuyền and Nguyễn Thành Nam failed to advance to the next round.

In the women's 25m sports pistol, Bùi Thúy Thu Thủy was stopped in the second set and ranked seventh, out of eight overall, with a score of 10 points. Singaporan shooter Teh Xiu Hong won gold with 34 points. Malaysian Azahari Alia Sazana took silver with 33 points and Prucksakorn of Thailand took home the bronze medal with 28 points.

Ending the third day of shooting, the Việt Nam team did not finish with any medals, showing the high level of competition at the SEA Games 31.

After the first six events, the Indonesian team are in the lead with four golds, one silver and two bronzes. They are followed by Vietnamese team with two golds, two silvers while Singapore are in third with one gold, two silvers and one bronze.

The shooting events will continue on May 19 with the 10m air pistol for men (individual and team) and women’s trap shooting.
