HCM City restricts public transport

Public transport has been halted in Gò Vấp District and Thạnh Lộc Ward in District 12 in HCM City for 15 days from May 31 to curb the spread of COVID-19.

HCM CITY — Public transport has been halted in Gò Vấp District and Thạnh Lộc Ward in District 12 in HCM City for 15 days from May 31 to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Buses numbered 03, 32, 58, 59, and 103, taxis, and ride-hailing, tourist, and rental car services will not be allowed to operate from March 31 to June 14, according to the city Department of Transport.

Vehicles are allowed to drive through some streets in these areas, but not stop, drop off or pick up people.

The streets include Lê Đức Thọ, Thống Nhất, Quang Trung, Nguyễn Oanh, Phan Huy Ích, Tân Sơn, Phạm Văn Bạch, Phan Văn Trị, Lê Quang Định, Nguyễn Thái Sơn, Nguyễn Kiệm, Hoàng Minh Giám, Bạch Đằng and Hồng Hà in Gò Vấp District and Hà Huy Giáp Street and National Highway No.1 in Thạnh Lộc Ward.

The city has also halted bus services on 17 routes to the provinces of Long An, Đồng Nai and Bình Dương.

Many provinces such as Đồng Nai, Long An, Bình Thuận, Khánh Hòa, Tiền Giang, Lâm Đồng, Đắk Lắk and Cần Thơ City have stopped passenger transport services to and from HCM City. —VNS
