HÀ NỘI — The Hà Nội Department of Education and Training has sent a message requiring educational establishments to strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control activities.

In the message, schools are asked to strictly implement the regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control following the direction of the Government, Ministry of Education and Training and city's People's Committee.

Information on COVID-19 prevention should also be increased for staff, teachers and students. They are required to strictly follow the Ministry of Health's 5K guidelines.

Schools should prepare online teaching options when needed; regularly inspect the implementation of prevention and control measures in each unit; and limit the organisation of mass gatherings of people.

Schools are required to prepare materials, human resources and medical equipment, as well as make medical reports.

During the holidays on April 30 and May 1, schools should coordinate with students' families regarding students' health and work closely with local health agencies to effectively implement safety measures against the development of the COVID-19 pandemic. — VNS
