Vietnamese home from Singapore

Also on Saturday, more than 300 Vietnamese citizens arrived home after being repatriated from Singapore.

Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore and national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines co-ordinated with Singapore agencies to arrange their travel.

The passengers included children under 18, the elderly, the ill, workers with expired labour contracts and students without accommodation due to school closures along with people in difficult circumstances.

The British Embassy in Việt Nam has asked Vietnamese authorities to repatriate the British pilot, Patient 91, scheduled for July 12. The patient will be brought home on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Hà Nội, which will also repatriate Vietnamese citizens from the UK.— VNS
