Two people in critical condition after Đồng Nai petrol station fire

Two people were injured in a fire that broke out at a petrol station in Đồng Nai Province’s Bảo Hoà Commune on Wednesday.

ĐỒNG NAI — Two people were injured in a fire that broke out at a petrol station in Đồng Nai Province’s Bảo Hoà Commune on Wednesday.

The blaze erupted when a petrol tanker truck was transfering fuel to a storage tank at Nam Phương Long Petrol Station.

The fire quickly spread to the truck.

Dozens of firefighters were sent to stamp out the fire, which took them till 10pm.

A representative of Đồng Nai General Hospital said the two victims had suffered 80 per cent burns and had been transferred to Chợ Rẫy Hospital in HCM City for emergency treatment.

Đặng Ngọc Đức, chairman of Bảo Hoà Commune’s People’s Committee, said they were working with provincial police to investigate the cause of the fire. — VNS
