BÌNH THUẬN — The People’s Committee of southern Bình Thuận Province has asked relevant departments and sectors to clarify the responsibilities of organisations and individuals involved in the illegal construction and operation of the Muine Hill Tourism Site in Phan Thiết City.
In the document, committee chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Hai said the Muine Hill Tourism Site was built without a licence in 2009 in Hàm Tiến Ward and had been operating since then.
The tourism site belongs to Mũi Né Beach Club Co Ltd.
Hai asked the provincial departments of Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, and Culture, Sports and Tourism and the people’s committees of Phan Thiết City and Hàm Tiến Ward to clarify the responsibilities of those involved in the site’s violations.
They were told to report in detail on the incident to the provincial People’s Committee by December 20.
Hai also asked the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to work with the construction department and the city’s authority to re-examine land use at the tourism site, clarify its origins and implement fines for violations. — VNS
