HÀ NỘI  — Two people were killed and five others were injured in a car crash in Phalanxay district, Savannakhet province of Laos on June 21, said the Vietnamese Consulate General in Laos.

The two deceased were Phạm Văn Bình, born in 1987, and Nguyễn Văn Thọ, born in 1994. Both were residents of Diễn Kim commune, Diễn Châu District, the central Nghệ An Province.

The five injured people were sent to a general hospital of Savannakhet province.

The initial cause of the accident was said that a coach with 23 Vietnamese workers onboard collided with a truck going in the same direction. The coach was en route from the province’s Muang Phin district to a station in Seno town.

The Vietnamese Consulate General in Laos worked with local authorities to take necessary measures to help the deceased’s relatives to bring the two bodies home on June 22. All injured workers were sent to the Huế Central Hospital for continued treatment. — VNS
