BÌNH ĐỊNH — Experts discussed nanoelectronics, nano equipment, superconductivity, magneto-resistive materials and strongly correlated systems at a scientific conference that opened on Monday in Quy Nhơn City, the central province of Bình Định.

As many as 120 foreign and domestic scientists attended the conference ’Nanophysics: From fundamental to applications’, which is part of the 13th Gặp gỡ Việt Nam (Meet Vietnam) programme.

The six-day event, jointly held by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the provincial People’s Committee, will discuss the latest emerging nanotechnology in the world, such as allotrope and topo material.

Professor Trần Thanh Vân, Chairman of the Meet Việt Nam Fund and founder of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education in Vietnam (ICISE), said this year’s event had drawn the participation of reputed professors who had made significant contributions to nanophysics.

It will create opportunities for Vietnamese scientists to learn about nano scientific research from international experts, he said. — VNS
