HÀ NỘI – National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) and Airbus Foundation jointly transported 31 kidney dialysis machines and medical equipment to Hanoi Nephrology Hospital.

The batch of medical equipment was transported by an A350 XWB plane, which landed at Nội Bài International Airport on Thursday.

The equipment was donated by Professor Jean J.Conte of Midi-Pyrénées Santé Universitaire Purpan Health Organisation in Toulouse, France. He is the honorary president of Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France, and an honorary citizen of Hà Nội, and has assisted in research activities in Việt Nam for many years.

Since 1990, 307 kidney dialysis machines and 1,500 books, along with a lot of medical equipment have been delivered by Airbus to Việt Nam, supporting operations of three kidney dialysis centres and benefiting nearly 1,000 patients.

This is the seventh new aircraft handed over to Vietnam Airlines by Airbus. It is one of 14 A350 aircraft to join the carrier’s new-generation fleet. This year, it will receive four Airbus A350-900 XWB. — VNS
