HCM CITY — Sài Gòn Railways Transport JSC on Wednesday introduced a luxury train on the HCM City-Nha Trang route.

Đỗ Quang Văn, the company’s director, said the coaches in the new train are made of high-strength steel and their interiors of composite materials.

The berths are made of white composite and designed “elegantly,” he said.

There is more luggage space, foot rests in front of seats, dark glasses in windows, heavy duty springs to reduce vibration and noise, modular toilets, and sink sensor faucets.

The one-way fare is VNĐ265,000 - 423,000 (US$11.56 - 18.46), 15 per cent lower than a year ago.

The train, SNT2, leaves Sài Gòn Railway Station at 8.30pm and reaches Nha Trang at 5.30 the next morning, stopping en route at Dĩ An in Biên Hòa and Chàm Tower.
In the reverse direction, SNT1 leaves Nha Trang at 7:10pm and arrives in Sài Gòn at 3:28am. — VNS
