Car crashes into mountain, another falls into ditch on overpass

An automobile slid off the road and fell into a ditch and another crashed into a mountain when three trucks collided with another truck on Tuesday night on the Bảo Lộc Overpass in the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng.

HCM CITY — An automobile slid off the road and fell into a ditch and another crashed into a mountain when three trucks collided with another truck on Tuesday night on the Bảo Lộc Overpass in the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng.

No casualties or damages had been reported, local authorities said.

The accident occurred at 8:30pm on National Road 20 in Đạ Huoai District as three trucks travelling from HCM City to Đà Lạt collided with another truck travelling in the opposite direction, local authorities reported.

The accident caused serious traffic congestion on National Road 20 on the Bảo Lộc Overpass.

Local agencies are taking measures to rescue any accident victims and control the traffic gridlock.

Police are continuing their investigation of the cause of the accident. — VNS
