ĐẮK LẮK  Two people died and another went missing after their boat flipped over in Krông Ana River in the Central Highlands province of Đắk Lắk on Wednesday.

The unidentified deceased victims are two women, residents of the province’s Lắk District.

Their bodies were found at around 7.30pm the same day.

The authorities are in search of boat driver Trần Văn Học, resident of Krông Bông District, who is missing since the incident.

The boat, with 18 passengers on board, capsized when it was about to reach the riverside in Ea Trul Commune in Krông Bông District.

The other 15 passengers are safe.

The boat was leased to Trần Văn Học by the authorities in 2014 to transport locals and goods across the river.

The two deceased women travelled by the boat every day for farming work in Ea Trul Commune.  VNS
