Ship caught transporting petrol without legal papers

TIỀN GIANG – The Border Guard of the Mekong Delta province of Tiền Giang yesterday arrested a ship transporting 2.1 million litres of petrol without legal papers proving the fuel’s place of origin.

The Kim Minh 04 ship, captained by Võ Văn Chiến from the Mekong Delta province of Đồng Tháp, was stopped in the coastal area between HCM City and Tiền Giang Province.

Chiến said the vessel was owned by Văn Khoa Trade and Services Ltd. Company in the Mekong Delta City of Cần Thơ.

He said the petrol was being transported from the Cái Mép-Thị Vải warehouse in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu to the Hải Hà Road and Waterway Transport Ltd. Company in the northern province of Thái Bình.

Chiến failed to present legal documents for the petrol.
