HCM CITY — Student researchers from 11 universities and academies gathered at the 5th International Student Research Conference on Economics and Business (SR-ICYREB 2026) that opened in HCM City on Friday.
The annual academic forum is hosted by the University of Economics HCM City (UEH) in collaboration with 10 leading Vietnamese universities, including National Economics University, University of Economics and Law, VNU University of Economics and Business, Foreign Trade University, Thuongmai University, University of Economics – The University of Đà Nẵng, University of Economics – Huế University, the Academy of Finance, the Banking Academy of Việt Nam, and Phenikaa University.
The two-day event themed “Sustainability, Digital Transformation, and Global Economic Transitions” focuses on exchanging research on economic and business issues.
From over 350 research submissions, the scientific committee selected 293 research papers for publication and invited 62 outstanding papers to present across 12 parallel academic sessions.
Student researchers presented diverse topics covering energy transition, green growth, sustainable finance, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in business, consumer behavior on digital platforms, and organizational governance.
Some studies approach interdisciplinary issues such as the link between climate and health, smart cities, and food security.
“UEH aims to create an academic environment where students develop ideas, conduct research, and exchange findings with the academic community," said Dr. Đinh Công Khải, Vice President of UEH.
"The continued partnership among universities and international partners helps expand opportunities for learning and collaboration for young researchers and nurture the next generation of researchers," he said. —VNS
