ĐỒNG NAI — Long Thành International Airport on Thursday evening has successfully put into operation the entire aviation lighting and signage system on Runway 1, marking another milestone for Việt Nam's most ambitious aviation project.

The lighting system uses 100 per cent LED technology imported from Europe, meeting Instrument Landing System Category II (CAT II) standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), according to the according to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).

The system spans the runway’s full 4km length and covers 1.8km of the approach areas at both ends, 900m on each side, ensuring stable and reliable performance.
