The 'For a Peaceful Capital Festival' and ceremony serves as both a showcase of strength and a reaffirmation of the Hà Nội Police’s commitment to building a revolutionary, professional, elite and modern force, fully prepared to safeguard security and public order during major political events in the capital and the nation.
Captain Nguyễn Quốc Hội, a member of the Drug Crime Police parade bloc, shared his pride in joining the event after nearly a month of dedicated training.
“It’s a great honour to be part of this parade and security rollout for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day,” he said.
With over 28 years of development, the Drug Crime Police remain resolute and uncompromising in the fight against drug-related crimes, ready to excel in any assigned mission to ensure the absolute safety of the capital and the peaceful life of its people, he added.
In addition to showcasing specialised equipment and vehicles, the rehearsal featured martial arts demonstrations and a simulated security scenario in which Hà Nội police officers intercepted and arrested individuals disrupting public order.
The official parade and security deployment will take place on August 10 at the King Lý Thái Tổ statue and Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street, with the participation of nearly 3,000 officers and local residents. More than 245 specialised vehicles will be mobilised, highlighting the comprehensive strength and modern, elite readiness of Hà Nội's police force in the new era. — VNS
