HÀ NỘI — Prosecution proceedings have been launched against two former provincial leaders for their links to an illegal gambling case at Pullman Hotel in Hà Nội, according to the Ministry of Public Security.
They are Ngô Ngọc Đức, 50, former secretary of Hòa Bình Provincial Party Committee, and Hồ Đại Dũng, 52, former vice chairman of Phú Thọ Provincial People’s Committee.
More than a dozen others were also detained for their involvement in the case, following a police raid at King Club on the first floor of the Pullman Hotel at 40 Cát Linh Street, Đống Đa District.
Three South Korean nationals, including the club’s manager, were also among the arrests.
Further investigations are being carried out by the police. — VNS
