HÀ NỘI The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Hà Nội Police, has warned that parents should be cautious against online scams presented as summer camp courses for children.
The city's police have stated that fraudulent activity has been observed on Facebook pages with the names "Skill summer camp-Junior public security semester", "Military Summer Camp", and "Summer Military Experience".
These accounts claim to be connected to military and police agencies across the country, and attract students by offering the chance to train with the People's Army and People's Public Security.
Following the training, they will receive uniforms, lunch and certificates.
A child's application code and the consultant's Zalo phone number are sent to parents upon registration, enabling them to access Zalo and register personal data.
They requested parents to join the Telegram group in order to complete payment and then appropriate property.
Parents are advised to report any indication of fraud and to stay updated on scams detected, in order to prevent crimes and alert others, according to the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention. VNS
