Condolences to Japan over earthquakes

HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính on Tuesday extended condolences to his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio over losses of life and property caused by the recent earthquake in Ishikawa Province and the surrounding areas.

On the same day, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bùi Thanh Sơn conveyed his sympathy to Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko.

At least 48 people have been confirmed dead after a major earthquake struck central Japan on Monday, triggering tsunami waves over a metre high, damaging homes and sparking a major blaze. — VNS
